Prior to joining the search industry Salterio was Area Manager and EVP of HSBC Bank Panama (currently Banistmo), where he worked for more than 20 years, and was also a member of the Panamanian Banking Commission. He also served as advisor to Presidents and Legislative Members of the Panamanian government. He was President of the Smithsonian Foundation in Panama, is a recipient of the M.B.E. of the United Kingdom, a member of the Panama Chamber of Commerce and a former President of the Panama Banking Association, the American Chamber of Commerce and the Panama British Business Council. He holds Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A & M University and has taken postgraduate courses in International Banking and Business Administration.
